These terms cover your use of the Second Wind app, made by Cloud Design Studio LLC. Using the app means you accept them.

The short version. Second Wind gives you a short daily message and a private journal. It is encouragement, not therapy or medical care. One message a day is free; membership unlocks more. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, and you cancel through Apple, not through us. What you write in the journal is yours.

What Second Wind is

A daily message of around thirty seconds, written by people and read aloud by a synthetic voice, chosen based on the answers you gave and the mood you check in with. Plus a journal that stays on your device.

This is not medical or mental-health advice

Second Wind is a wellbeing and motivation app. It is not therapy, counselling, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional care. Nothing in it should be relied on as medical or psychological advice. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line right away. In the United States you can call or text 988.

Membership and billing

One message a day is free. Membership unlocks three a day and removes the daily limit on the library.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours beforehand. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.
Manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device. We cannot cancel or refund on your behalf.
If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms.

Your journal and your words

Anything you write stays yours. It is stored on your device, we never receive it, and we claim no rights over it. You can export it to plain text at any time. Because we never hold a copy, we cannot recover it if you delete the app or lose your phone.

Our content

The messages, audio, and artwork in the app belong to Cloud Design Studio LLC. You may use them personally inside the app. Please do not copy, redistribute, or republish them.

Fair use of the app

Do not attempt to break, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the app or its systems, and do not use it in a way that breaks the law.

Availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. If we retire something you paid for, you may cancel and seek a refund through Apple.

Disclaimers and liability

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the extent permitted by law, Cloud Design Studio LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes to these terms

We will update the date at the top when these terms change, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
